WELCOME GATE,DUDHWA NATIONAL PARK

Tsomgo Lake is a two-hour drive from The Dudhwa Tiger Reserve is a protected area in Uttar Pradesh that stretches mainly across the Lakhimpur Kheri and Bahraich districts and comprises the Dudhwa National Park, Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary and Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary. It covers an area of 1,284.3 km (495.9 sq mi) and includes three large forest fragments amidst the matrix dominated by agriculture. It shares the north-eastern boundary with Nepal, which is defined to a large extent by the Mohana River. The area is a vast alluvial floodplain traversed by numerous rivers and streams flowing in south-easterly direction. It ranges in altitude from 110 to 185 m (361 to 607 ft).

Dudhwa National Park

The Dudhwa National Park is a national park in the Terai of Uttar Pradesh, India, and covers an area of 490.3 km2 (189.3 sq mi), with a buffer zone of 190 km2 (73 sq mi). It is part of the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve.It is located on the Indo-Nepal border in the Lakhimpur Kheri District, and has buffer of reserved forest areas on the northern and southern sides. It represents one of the few remaining examples of a highly diverse and productive Terai ecosystem, supporting a large number of endangered species, obligate species of tall wet grasslands and species of restricted distribution.

Gurudwara Shri Kodhiwala Ghaat Sahib

Babarpur,located close to Paliya Kalan, is another great place to visit. Sikh Guru Nanak came here on his 3rd Udasi. It is said that the Guru reached here late at night and did not get any shelter in the village. So he wasforced to spend the night in a fakir's. Unfortunately, the fakir was suffering from leopracy and was in great pain. On the Guru's advice he had a bath in the pond nearby and was fully cured of his ailment. When the villagers came to know about this they asked for Guruji's forgiveness. Guruji not only forgave them, but also asked them to build ashelter for the travelers.The present Gurudwara stands at this very spot.

Thapar Park is located near Trikolia village on way to Sampurna Nagar at a distance of 12 km from Paliya Kalan.  With trails, gardens, pools and fountains, this park has become one of the most popular destinations both for the locals and visitors.  Youngsters especially enjoy splashing around its pools..
